Our future
comes from our roots

Giustino Ruggeri Valdobbiadene

Five generations of the Bisol family have shaped the development of a business that has a deep understanding of the future.

Ruggeri’s roots stretch far back to the nineteenth century, to Eliseo Bisol, who, along with his son Luigi was one of the first winemakers in Valdobbiadene. The business’s significant growth began in 1950 when Giustino Bisol founded the current winery with his cousin, and it was his surname, Ruggeri, that was chosen as the company name. The unswerving commitment to excellence continued with the work of Giustino’s son, Paolo, and granddaughter Isabella.
Since 2017, Ruggeri has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group, a highly fruitful partnership which has paired our shared visions, trust in common values and a mutual commitment to ever higher quality standards.

Vecchie viti cartizze

A culture of time

Time has always been central to the philosophy that guides Ruggeri. Our legacy and lessons of the past, coupled with our visionary spirit of today translates into our hallmark daring and experimenting that seeks to anticipate the future.

Our knowledge of the wisdom that comes with patience has allowed us created wines of extraordinary complexity. These include Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCGs such as Giustino B, which through meticulous care and attention is capable of surprisingly elaborate development in the bottle. Or Vecchie Viti, a wine in which the culture of time of time is reflected in the vineyard, with the harvesting of only the best grapes from centenary-old vines. Or our Ladaltempo, which sees the light of day only when Ruggeri’s oenologists believe the moment of optimal maturation has been achieved, after extended lees ageing which can last up to 60 months.

One extended
family

Day after day, year after year, Ruggeri has developed deep trusting relationships with over one hundred growers, creating an extended family all focused on ensuring the quality of our wines.

Such long-lasting and deeply personal relationships contribute to upholding the superior quality of all Ruggeri’s signature interpretations of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
We can count on the full collaboration of our growers: constant dialogue with Ruggeri’s team of agronomists and ongoing training allows us to develop pruning and disease prevention projects that fully respect the vine.
