The four natural elements – Fire (the Sun), Earth, Air, Water – are the factors that forge a prestigious Prosecco Superiore.
AIR, OUR CONSTANT COMPANION.
Light breezes gently caress the vines. Like faithful custodians, the day-night temperature fluctuations preserve the unique microclimate, conferring on the grapes their intense aromatic qualities, which are then expressed with character in the wines.
THE EARTH, COMPLEX AND MULTIFORM.
Forged by the ancient seas and shaped by the glaciers of the Dolomites, the land of the hills is a precious legacy that’s reflected in the extraordinary quality of the grapes – tangible proof of a unique and ideal geology.
FIRE, WITNESS OF ANCIENT TIMES.
In the dancing flames of Panevin – the traditional winter festival – the stories of the communities of Valdobbiadene take shape, telling of a bygone age when the smoke from the bonfire drifting eastwards at dawn would herald prosperity and abundant harvests.
WATER, THE LIVING SOUL OF VALDOBBIADENE.
Once known as the “Duplaviis Valley” – the Valley of the two Piave rivers – today this unique land narrates the story of a river which by shaping the landscape has defined its identity.
GLOW IN THE DARK
The space between the four elements was occupied by the missing fifth element, described by Aristotle as “the substance that made up the stars and celestial body”.
Thus, just as light shows what is manifest, darkness causes secrets hidden from sight to emerge, revealing the quintessence of Ruggeri, and its immaterial identity.
