Ruggeri was the first winery in Valdobbiadene to believe in the capacity of the Glera grape to age well and in the benefits of extended lees ageing.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We\u2019ve successfully crafted wines that fully express the myriad characteristics of this local vine, which when grown on the hillsides around Valdobbiadene possess prominent floral and fruity notes. The local identity<\/span><\/strong> and complexity<\/span><\/strong> of Ruggeri wines is determined by the inclusion in some but not all our wines of small quantities of grapes from other native vines, including Bianchetta, Perera and Verdiso. After painstaking work in the vineyard which upholds the greatest respect for nature, our wines are initially aged on the lees, and then in the bottle, to develop their great wealth of aromas<\/strong><\/span> and delightful palate.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Over the years, our ongoing research aimed at assuring the quality of our wines has yielded many major national and international accolades,<\/span><\/strong> and resulted in us developing a reputation as a leading winemaker in the Valdobbiadene DOCG region.
In just the last few years, in Italy alone we\u2019ve received the following awards: several Tre Bicchieri awards from the food and wine magazine Gambero Rosso for our Giustino B., the Corona award received for our Cartizze Dry from the Vini Buoni d’Italia 2022 wine guide, the award for \u201cTop Wine\u201d for our Vecchie Viti in the 2023 Slow Wine guide, as well as an excellent review for our Cartizze Brut in Doctorwine \u2013 the essential guide to Italian wines.
On the international stage, Ruggeri wines have received accolades and awards from Germany\u2019s Falstaff wine magazine and the UK\u2019s Decanter magazine, as well as from the US\u2019s prestigious Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast magazines.
In addition to the numerous awards won by individual wines, in 2017 Ruggeri was the first Prosecco Superiore winemaker to achieve recognition as \u201cBest Italian Bubbly\u201d from Gambero Rosso magazine<\/span><\/strong>, and in 2019 was awarded a Stella in the Vini d\u2019Italia wine guide after winning no fewer than ten Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri awards.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
